Dr Muhammad Zubair Abbasi

Dr. Muhammad Zubair Abbasi has expertise in, corporate law, commercial law, Islamic law, family law, human rights law, and constitutional law. He received his Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Law from University of Oxford, where he conducted research on the formation of Muslim Personal Law, which resulted from the incorporation of Sharia into the Legal System in British India. Dr. Abbasi earned his Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from Manchester University, where he specialised in Comparative Corporate Law and Governance.
Before joining Jurist Panel, Dr. Abbasi held several research positions at prestigious institutions, including the Oxford Department of International Development and the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, Heidelberg. He also held visiting positions at the American University in Cairo and the Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore. Dr. Abbasi also serves as the Associate Editor of the Yearbook of Middle Eastern and Islamic Law and as Editor for Harvard Law School’s SHARIAsource. He has delivered lectures at universities in the UK, Egypt and Pakistan. He has published textbooks on family law and contract law. He advises our clients on corporate and commercial matters.
